Lovely readers – I'm about to whisk you away to the picturesque Italian countryside, so grab an expresso coffee or a scoop of gelato from the freezer, as you view these delightful images by Monika Photo Art. Bride Katerina married her beau Andrea on the 27th June 2015 at the Collazzone Town Hall, with their reception at Tenuta di Canonica in the Perugia region of Italy, amongst a backdrop of fruit and olive trees and the most breathtaking views of the Umbrian hills of Todi.
"We always wished to have a relaxing wedding in the beautiful Italian countryside, where we could spend a nice weekend, eating amazing food, drinking great wines and enjoying ourselves with all of our friends and family, without any rush and stress."

Monina Bucci from Italian Wedding Dream was the couple's talented wedding planner and she sorted the majority of the elements of their day, including the stationery, entertainment, flowers, decor and favours – which were sweet little local olive oil cans. The festivities took place outdoors and the area was decorated with stunning flowers in jars, the table plan cleverly hung from trees, and the tables were adorned with flowers, crates, candles, and olive leaves.
Katerina made for a simply stunning bride in her elegant Le Spose di Gio gown. She chose this style for its nude colour and silk material and it sure was the right choice – the beautiful draping and train highlights her shape perfectly.

Look at Katerina's little maids in their sweet gypsophila flower crowns – so utterly adorable!
The gorgeous bride finished off her stylish look with a pair of handmade shoes by Domenico Morichini, white roses in her hair, gorgeous drop diamond earrings and engagement ring by Hearts and Arrows Jewellery in Belgium – and her favourite fragrance, 'Pleasures' by Estee Lauder. Hair and make-up for Katerina was by Milo Sabariz.
Andrea donned a very stylish ensemble, from Italian fashion house Bracci in Rome.
"We met seven years ago in Luxembourg and we were engaged for two years before we married."
Andrea and Katerina's photographer was Monika Rozalska of Monika Photo Art, who captured the most magical, light-filled images. I particularly admire the pictures of the couple surrounded by olive trees.
"Monika was very talented, pleasant and discreet and we highly recommend her."
The flowers were a lovely mix of pretty peonies, Katerina's favourite blooms, with lavender and rosemary.
"Cream-coloured peonies are my favourite flowers. We combined them with lavender and rosemary, as these are the typical essences of the region where we got married."
Guests were treated to tasty cuisine by the venue that they enjoyed into the evening under festoon lighting. And the newlywed's deliciously tempting cake was cut amidst a fantastic fireworks display.
"Our cake was the favourite dessert of Andrea's – a millefolie prepared with forest fruits."
Words of Wedded Wisdom
"The wedding is just for you and your partner. If you enjoy yourself, everybody around you will be as happy as you are."
Oh, I do love a beautiful destination wedding! On my next travels to Europe I really must book a little trip to Italy, stay in the glorious countryside and sample all the local delicacies (yes, I'm googling as we speak!). Thank you so much to Monika, and Katerina and Andrea for sharing these wonderful photos, and little snippets of such a special summer's day.
If you're thinking of holding your nuptials in Italy, I urge you to take a peek here for loads more inspiration.
