A Spalding County wedding photographer accused of taking people's money and not showing up on their wedding day now has just one civil lawsuit active in Spalding County Magistrate Court.
CBS46 reported in October that at least seven lawsuits were filed against Graceology and its owner, Chris Yellina.
"We are moving forward without photography but fulfilling our remaining obligations that are booked," Yellina told CBS46 reporter Natalie Rubino Tuesday via text message.
But people in Spalding County say Yellina has opened a new photography business, Lovewise Photography. It has a Facebook page and is listed on weddingwire.com.
"It's going to happen again and it will continue to happen," Beverly Fields, a former Graceology employee said. "He would not respond to bridal questions or emails. He would just ignore them. Then he began not showing up for weddings, not returning money for not showing up. Overbooking," she added.
Graceology was given a F rating by the Better Business Bureau. There are no complaints for Lovewise Photography.
We checked to find out who legally owns Lovewise, but we could not find any company with that name in Spalding County or state business records.
"I don't have a new company. I was shooting for a friend of ours who owns it," Yellina wrote in another text message.
Fields doesn't believe Yellina.
"I think he believes his own lies. He's starting this new company up. It will go well for a while because it's good money and then it's going to go back to the way it was because that's how he is," she said.
CBS46 called the number listed for Lovewise Photography but haven't heard back.
The last court date for the Graceology lawsuits could take place as early as next week.
