Song Qinglin, 102, and his wife Song Lishi, 99, have been married for 80 years—but they just had their first wedding photos taken, The Daily Mail reports.
The couple, who hail from eastern China's Anhui Province, tied the knot in 1936. They were reportedly so poor that they only had three plates of food at their wedding banquet. Over the decades, the People's Daily Online reports, the duo had six children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Still, they never got the chance to immortalise their union until a local volunteer association helped the couple arrange a wedding photo shoot to honor their 80th anniversary on July 23, 2016.
According to Shanghai Daily, volunteers primped the couple for the shoot and provided the bride with a white wedding gown. The groom wore a red Changshan, a traditional Chinese men's tunic. Check out a few of their heartwarming keepsake photos below, or view more outtakes here.
