We're not ones to watch movies while culling or editing, and we spend quite a bit of time doing both because we take thousands upon thousands of images each time we shoot a wedding, and deliver around a thousand images which we edit ourselves. And, since editing throughout the still of the night can bring about fits of paranoia, occasional fret, and, at times, the brink of insanity, a podcast can be a welcome late-night friend. So we like to mix some in while listening to music and taking power naps, helping our children, or waking each other up because we fell asleep while sitting up again.
Well, let's get to it! Here are five of our favorite podcasts lately, which will undoubedtly assist you during those late night hours of editing or even on your next road trip or flight . . . in no particular.
(Rewind: 5 Podcasts to Listen to While You're Editing) 1. THE BUSINESS OF PHOTOGRAPHY – SPROUTING PHOTOGRAPHER PODCASTSponsored by Sprout Studio and hosted by the CEO of Sprout Studio, Bryan Caporicci, The Business of Photography – Sprouting Photographer Podcast, is an "iTunes Best of 2014" podcast and has tens of thousands of downloads per month. Rightly so too because it's all good, useful, and entertaining information. The topics covered range from accounting and bookkeeping to blogging, pricing, and relationship skills. You can even check out SRL Lounge's own Pye Jirsa and Justin Lin on Episodes 200 and 225, respectively: iTunes link.

But even regular SLR Lounge Members get a discount. Check the Partner Page has more details on that!
2. The Hashtagged PodcastThe Hashtagged Podcast is hosted by Jordan Powers, an interiors and architectural photographer from Minnesota. He interviews interesting Istagrammers, and there's a good range too; from fashion to fine art to travel, etc. You can learn all about Jordan on Episode 50, and his IG feed is pretty rad too!
3. The History of Photography PodcastWe forgot how we happened upon this one, but it's really cool. You have to like history though because what you get is Jeff Curto's class lectures from his photography course at College of DuPage (Glen Ellyn, Illinois, USA). Check it out here: The History of Photography Podcast, and here's a link to the live class sessions: Link. And we should also mention that Curto is an Apple Distinguished Educator and leads photography workshops in Italy. It's kinda crazy it's for free!
4. THE EPIC PODCASTThe Epic Podcast is legit, and we heart the heck out of it. Sam Hurd (one of SLR Lounge's 100 Best Wedding Photographers in the U.S. and Canada) and wedding photographer Nathan Mitchell chat about photography, music, other stuff, and life in general. It's kind of like you're just chilling with them, chatting at a coffee shop.

5. Way Up NorthWay Up North is a photography conference that's quite literally "way up north." This year it's going down in Stockholm, Sweden in October and features a legit crew of photographers: Benj Haisch, Erika Gerdemark, Forged in the North, and We are the Parsons, to name a few. One really rad bonus-type aspect of the conference is that they interview the presenters so that participants can get to know them better; here are the interviews for 2016 (so far): Way Up North Podcast.
