Brittany and Luke's romantic wedding at home combines gorgeous heartfelt moments with a modern rustic flair! When it was time for the couple to choose a wedding venue, Luke's family home in the Northern California countryside was the perfect choice because it's where they fell in love. Meaningful DIY details like handmade wooden candle pillars and signage built from reclaimed wooden pallets turned this private residence into the ultimate wedding venue! We love how Anni Graham Photography perfectly captured the warm, inviting mood of this elegant backyard wedding. The Couple:Brittany and LukeThe Wedding:Private Residence, Redding, California
We chose to have our wedding at Luke's family's house. They live on 40 acres in the country outside of Redding, CA, and that is where we spent most of our time together early on. It is essentially where we fell in love.
Photography was definitely a big part in planning our wedding. My husband's family loves photography, so it was very important for us to have beautiful, warm pictures to look back through years later.
The ceremony was the most memorable part. Walking down the aisle and then standing up at the front with Luke was the most amazing part of the day. That time was so meaningful and special to the both of us and it felt as if no one else was there. Our photographer Anni was wonderful. She is one of the sweetest people and truly wants to highlight all the beautiful aspects of your day. Throughout our wedding she had amazing ideas of where to take pictures, and captured our day perfectly.
Our advice: Ask for help! Doing it by yourselves can be very stressful, so I advise finding people that you trust to help pull everything together. Throughout the wedding reception we used wood rounds, which Luke's dad had cut from trees on the property.
