Based on the snaps Raya Carlisle Photography sent our way of our own Kristina's brother-in-law Jordan and Davia's Malibu wedding, you'd never, ever guess that they only had three months to plan the whole thing. It's just that pretty. But after news of the Zika virus derailed their plans in Mexico, they had to scoop up a new venue on the fly. Luckily Cielo Farms came into the picture and Green Ribbon Parties was there to coordinate the event for 140 guests to celebrate with them, so all came together beautifully in the end (K can attest!).
Davia says, Our wedding had a California vineyard feel and used bright spring colors like peach, pink, orange and some red to tie in the beautiful rose garden. It was rustic and romantic, with a barn and olive grove at the venue and a short drive from one of our favorite surf spots. Jordan and I enjoy nature and the outdoors, sunshine, and good company, and the style and setting allowed for that to be what our wedding was all about.
Hello, take your breath away blooms! This scrumptious bridal bouquet from Primary Petals was full coral charm peonies, roses, ranunculus, and more.
She her sister's veil during the ceremony + transitioned to the floral hairpins above for the reception.
D + J found the lovely Raya Carlisle Photography via our vendor guide, and used our marketplace to find a videographer. Yay!
Such a simple, elegant tablescape…
About their wedding music choices, D says, We started with Van Morrison's Into the Mystic, and about half way through spliced in Mirándote by Frankie Ruiz En Santo Domingo and broke into a surprise salsa dance choreographed by Patrick Hernandez of Majesty in Motion dance company in San Diego… In the end, the crowd was cheering, "one more time!".
Davia + Jordan's wedding planning tips? Don't overthink every decision, and enjoy the process! It will go by quickly.
So true, congrats guys!
