Photographer Neville Hiatt's life was changed when another driver cut into his lane.
His series Journeys ll is exhibited alongside the photography of Michell Thompson at Backspace Gallery. Hiatt's photos represent the personal stories told "behind closed doors", he said.
"I got hit by a car and went sliding down the highway," Hiatt said.
"Most of my work is because I had a life changing accident which interrupted my media career and I needed another way to tell stories when stuck at home in bed in too much pain to do anything else."
Thompson's work, Looking and Seeing, is "an invitation to explore" the beauty of Western Victoria, she said.
"Sometimes we don't need to go overseas to see the beauty of the world around us, it's here where we live.
"I'd like everybody to explore the world around them and not constantly sit behind a screen and just enjoy the beautiful nature around them."
Looking and Seeing and Journeys ll is at Backspace Gallery, Huyghue House.
