MUST SEE: Touching images of a wedding in a warzone

They are surrounded by death and devastation on a daily basis.

But that didn't stop these newlyweds from showing their love for each other in their beloved hometown.

Love is stronger than war: The bride and groom posed for the images amidst war-torn Homs. Photograph: jafar Meray/Facebook

The bride and her soldier groom were pictured posing for a remarkable photoshoot following their wedding in the war-torn Syrian city of Homs.

Behind them, buildings stood abandoned and partially blown apart, while rubble littered the dusty ground.

At other points in the shoot, the bride beamed as she saluted her spouse -- a Syrian Army soldier -- and gazed lovingly at him as he kissed her hands.

The touching pictures were taken by photographer Jafar Meray, who said he wished to capture the 'stainless hopeful' in Syria.

Meray shared the images on his Facebook page, JafaR Photography, writing: 'Honeymooners from Syria.

'They chose rubble and destruction to be the background pictures of their wedding.'

The photographer said the shoot was 'proof that life goes on, silently' and that hope 'is always there'.

The city of Homs has been a major battleground in the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad. But earlier this month, more than 700 rebels and their families began leaving the last insurgent-held area in the city following several years of combat after reaching a ceasefire with the government.

Despite this, at least 32 people were killed and 90 injured in two bomb explosions in Homs on Monday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

Behind the couple, buildings stood abandoned and partially blown apart, while rubble littered the dusty ground.  Photograph: jafar Meray/Facebook

The blasts, one from a car bomb and another from a suicide attack, struck the Zahra district in the middle of the city.

The attack was the second major one in the city since the ceasefire took effect - after twin blasts on December, also in Zahra, killed at least 16 people.

In honor of Manganiello's 39th birthday on Monday, Vergara shared a never-before-seen photo from their November wedding. In the snapshot, brige and groom are cuddling close as they seemingly dance during the reception. "Happy bday to the husband I always dreamed of," Vergara captioned the snapshot, adding a number of heart, flowers, and dancing emojis.

The actress tagged Manganiello in the post, which she also shared on Twitter. He retweeted the message, and wrote in response, "¡Te amo!" This is only the second birthday of Manganiello's that the couple is celebrating together.

As Gossip Cop has reported, the stars began dating in summer of 2014, and became engaged that Christmas, just a few days before Manganiello's 38th birthday. After spending much of 2015 in wedding planning mode, he and Vergara married on November 21, just over a month ago.

On Saturday, Gossip Cop named the extravagant, star-studded nuptials one of the top weddings of 2015. This is the first marriage for Manganiello, but he is Vergara's second husband. She married high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez when she was 18, and they divorced in 1993. Gossip Cop is happy to see Vergara now has her fairytale ending with her dream husband. Surprise Snowstorm Creates Magical Photos For Newlyweds

It was an unexpected, Frozen-style fairy-tale wedding for Carly and Chris Atwill earlier in December, as eight inches of unexpected snow blanketed County Durham, England.

The Atwills — who tied the knot on December 11 at Larington Hall, a Gosford Park-looking country estate — weren't expecting much white stuff, seeing as how this December has been exceptionally warm. They had thought perhaps there was a "1% chance of it snowing," but when the morning began with rain, the pair accepted that they'd be starting their life off together under umbrellas.

As is evident from the images, the Atwills felt very blessed by the dreamy blanket of white. "No one could believe it was snowing, particularly as it has been the warmest December on record," they told Refinery29. "We were all just enjoying the moment, it was like a little miracle."

As Carly and Chris turned from fiancés to newlyweds inside, a wedding gift arrived from Mother Nature. The rain turned to snow — and lots of it. Wedding photographer Paul Liddement noticed the turn, though he never thought it would stick. He gathered a bit together into a snowball, so they'd have some snow on their wedding day.

"When they came out after the ceremony the snow was quite deep and I realised we'd be able to get some photos in the snow," says Liddement, who cajoled the bride and groom out into the idyllic scene. "We were having a bit of fun and I was telling them things to make them laugh and help them forget they were in the cold. When they saw the finished photo, they were gobsmacked and didn't really believe the picture was of them."

Looks like the Atwills got a little snowy wedding miracle — and stunning photos, to boot!

Harry Styles Is Going To A Wedding! Check Out His Wedding Fashion A-Game

Harry Styles has been spotted jetting into Miami with his mother Anne Twist and her husband. Harry fans initially asked what the hell the long-haired hunk was doing in the sunny city so soon after Christmas.

Nick Grimshaw is spending New Years Eve in Miami also so that could be the other reason why Harry is there who knows

    — some sort of updates (@1DUpdatesARG_) December 27, 2015

The reason why Grimmy is in Miami is because he is hosting a NYE party there. Its possible Harry will attend

    — 1D News + Updates (@That1DWWUpdate) December 27, 2015

Some people speculated that Harry may be in Florida to attend a New Year's Eve Party hosted by close friend Nick Grimshaw. But why did Harry's family come along?

    — maria (@lovelysuburbia) December 27, 2015

It soon emerged that the primary reason Harry is in Miami is to attend the wedding of a friend of his sister Gemma Styles.

"Harry is in Miami" thats great but can we talk abt the fact dat Harry may/may not hve made Anne wear those shoes pic.twitter.com/UF8KIAsh4f

    — mariez *∘✧ (@oopsylirry) December 27, 2015

Harry arrived at the airport wearing black skinny jeans, a loose and slouchy white button-up shirt, and a stylish fitted blazer that hugged his muscled arms and torso, giving him a lean and sleek look. His look was topped off by his trademark mop of wild and wavy hair, which jutted around the pair of sunglasses Harry pushed over his forehead as he left Arrivals.

Harry may have cut a sleek figure, but he was laden like a pack-mule with luggage — the fit hunk used his muscle-power to lug along about four huge travel bags as he sauntered along with mother Anne Twist, who wore a fashion-themed slogan t-shirt. Could the Styles/Twist family be in Miami for an extended stay?

Harry also carried a wide-rimmed hat of the kind he used to wear in 2013, at the time One Direction released their Fleetwood Mac-inflected Four album.

    — Harry Styles. (@Andre_Yellow46) December 27, 2015

What will Harry Styles wear to the upcoming wedding? It would be great to see the hunk sitting in the church pew in one of the wild, loud suits he has taken to wearing. A flared trouser leg or floral statement piece — especially paired with Harry's divisive mop of hair — would certainly stand out in any prim wedding photo lineup.

Harry Styles is known for his considerate manner though, so perhaps the One Direction star will keep his wedding look conservative out of respect to the bride and groom. Nobody likes to be upstaged at their own wedding.

Harry Styles first showed the world his wedding fashion game when he was best man at his mother's wedding soon after finding fame with One Direction, as reported by E! Online. It's amazing now to see Harry Styles in such a subdued and unremarkable ensemble. 2015 has been the year that Harry came to be associated with bombastic suit statements.

    — MTV UK (@MTVUK) December 19, 2015

Harry Styles brought his edgier wedding fashion game to the wedding of Louis Tomlinson's mother Johannah Deakin last year, as reported by The Daily Mail. Harry showed acres of chest and even a generous stretch of abdomen in his buttoned black shirt, which had about two buttons in total done-up, and which flapped in the wind as the star strode across the grass, treating the wedding entourage to flashes of taut, tanned flesh, a pectoral dip worked to cavernous depths over years of grueling touring and training, and Harry's distinctive butterfly and sparrow tattoos, which add a tinge of quirk and sweetness to the hunk's formidable form, like a love heart etched by a teenager into a gnarled and mighty oak tree.

Harry slung a patterned fabric scarf around his shoulders for the Deakin wedding, and finished his look with some buckled, strappy black boots, dark sunglasses and a hat. He spent his time mingling with Liam Payne's now-ex girlfriend Sophia Smith and looked comfortable and cozy chatting to rumored hookup and One Direction stylist Lou Teasdale, as reported by the Daily Mail.

It remains to be seen if Harry Styles will wear any statement pieces to the upcoming event. One thing's for sure — Harry lovers will be waiting for those first shots of the fit star.

Should Harry flash some pec at his sister's friend's Florida nuptials? Will he run a brush through his wild and crazy hair? Are the 1D hottie's wedding fashion choices appropriate?

30 wedding guests to be questioned over clip cheering Duma murders

Dozens of guests at a far-right wedding, where the murders of the Dawabshe family were celebrated, as seen in a now-infamous clip, will be summoned by police for questioning next week.

Channel 2 on Thursday night featured new footage of the event, which showed that Bentzi Gopstein, leader of the far-right Lehava organization, and Itamar Ben Gvir, the attorney for the Duma firebombing suspects, were present at the wedding. The new video featured more dancing with rifles, knives, and firebombs, as well as images of revelers torching and stabbing a photo of 18-month-old Ali Dawabshe, who was burned to death in the July 31 attack in the West Bank village of Duma.

According to the TV report, 30 of the wedding-goers will be questioned by police on suspicion of incitement to violence and illegal possession of weapons.

Earlier this week, police spokesperson Luba Samri said police had begun looking into the video on Wednesday afternoon before it was screened on Channel 10. Samri said the video shown on TV on Wednesday was only a small part of the material they are investigating.

"The serious investigative material gathered by the Israel Police, a small part of which was publicized yesterday, is vast, and it was transferred to the state attorney to gain approval for opening an investigation," Samri said. "Yesterday afternoon, approval was given to the Israel Police's Nationalist Crimes Unit in the Judea and Samaria District to investigate incitement and additional offenses."

Moreover, the Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot on Thursday ordered the Military Police to investigate how supposedly army-issue rifles were brandished by Jewish far-right participants at the wedding.

Eisenkot told the Military Police to find out how the weapons came to show up in the video and if any IDF soldiers took part in the event.

The groom, who is reportedly friends with the Jewish extremists detained in connection with the firebombing attack, said Thursday he was unaware of the celebrations of the murder at his wedding.

"I didn't even see it. At my wedding I was in the clouds, not on the ground at all," Yakir Ashbal told Channel 10.

He called the footage "shocking," but insisted that "there were about 600 people at my wedding, and this wasn't something I agreed to. There were a million people. I don't control what happens at my wedding. I'm just the groom; I didn't even pay for the photographer or the singer."

Ashbal's father, too, joined the chorus of denunciation Thursday, insisting he would have stopped the revelers calling for "vengeance" if he had seen them.

According to Channel 10, Ashbal belongs to a group calling itself "The Rebellion," which advocates the toppling of the Israeli state and its replacement by a Jewish monarchy. The group also reportedly supports expelling non-Jews from the land.

Both bride and groom have previously been investigated by the Shin Bet.

The video drew widespread condemnation from across the political spectrum, though some right-wing lawmakers accused security officials of leaking the clip to demonize Jewish extremists being investigated over the murder of three members of a Palestinian family in July.

Both opposition leader Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the images and the elements behind them. Netanyahu called the video "shocking," while Herzog termed the revelers "lowlifes."

Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked of the Jewish Home party told Army Radio on Thursday morning that the video's release hurts Israel, though she didn't criticize its contents.

"I regret that the video was released," Shaked said. "This is something that, in the end, hurts the State of Israel."

In response to recent criticism of the Shin Bet security service by right-wing elements with regard to the service's treatment of suspects in the ongoing Dawabsha murder investigation, Shaked said that the criticism has no foundation.

"The Shin Bet has acted within the framework of the law, accompanied by court orders," said the justice minister. "Some of the stories [of unnecessary force] spread in recent days have no connection to reality."

The attack in Duma killed three members of a Palestinian family. Only one member of the Dawabsha family — Ahmed, now 5 — survived the attack, and remains hospitalized in Israel. The 18-month-old baby Ali was killed on the night of the attack, while parents Riham and Saad succumbed to their injuries in the succeeding weeks.

An unspecified number of Jewish suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack, which is being investigated as an act of terrorism. Details of the investigation, and the identity of the suspects, have been withheld from publication by a court-imposed gag order.

Police investigating wedding video on suspicion of incitement

Video shows right-wing youth dancing with weapons, one of them repeatedly stabbing a picture of infant Ali Dawabsheh, who was killed in the Duma arson attack.

Elisha Ben Kimon, Elior Levy, Attila Somfalvi

Police said on Thursday that it had already launched an investigation into a video first aired on Channel 10 filmed at a right-wing couple's wedding in which guests are seen stabbing a photo of infant Ali Dawabsheh, who died in an arson attack on his home in Duma, believed to have been committed by radical right-wing Jews.

The Judea and Samaria Police said that an investigation was launched several days ago "into the many serious offenses displayed in the wedding video."

The video of a wedding held in Jerusalem several weeks ago also shows guests dancing with guns, knives, and Molotov cocktails to a song quoting Judges 16:28, "O God, that I may be this once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes."

The State Attorney approved the opening of a police investigation at the Judea and Samaria Police's Nationalistically-Motivated Crimes Unit, which will be investigating suspicions of incitement, among others. The groom is known to security services and has been arrested and questioned by the Shin Bet in the past about his involvement in so-called "price tag" activities. The owner of the venue where the wedding was held told Ynet that police knew of the wedding and deployed undercover officers to the event. "There are dozens of weddings like that every month," he said. "When the adults leave, the young guys always stay and start with these songs and dancing. These are teenagers. And police knew exactly what was going on here. To begin with, they flooded the venue with undercover cops and filmed and documented everything. In some of the cases, some of the teenagers were arrested outside the venue. My security guards asked the cops, who were in civilian clothes, who were they, and then they showed them their police ID." A guest at the wedding said he was shocked when he saw the teens' actions. "I've been coming to these weddings for several years now but this was a shocking spectacle. The songs are the same songs, but the hatred and the weapons, along with the photos of Dawabsheh, were crossing a red line. These teens are really hate-filled."

The guest expressed concern for the image of the religious-Zionist sector. "I really hope this story won't set us 20 years back."

Attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir, who represents one of the Jewish suspects held in connection with the Duma arson, told Ynet on Thursday morning: "I was at the wedding. No one realized these were photos of a member of the Dawabsheh family. You have to understand, the photos were the size of an A4 page. The minute I realized (what was happening) - I was ashamed. I think this is foolish. "But I also see what's going on: The Shin Bet, aided by people from the Yesha Council, are simply diverting the discussion from the torturing (allegedly done to the Jewish suspects) to the video, talking about it as if that was the most important thing. "Whoever waved the photo of the baby and stabbed it several times is an idiot, he's stupid. No doubt. But this won't sweep the torture under the rug." Members of the Dawabsheh family were outraged and shocked by the video, and said they are considering taking legal action against those seen in the video. "I demand the defense establishment to catch the people in the video and put them in jail. To me, these people are not even human," said Hussein Dawabsheh, the grandfather of Ali Dawabsheh, who was killed in the attack, and his brother Ahmad, who was seriously wounded. "What bothers me the most is the hatred towards Ali, who hasn't done anything to them. Isn't it enough, what was done to him?" Ahmad Dawabsheh was transferred on Thursday morning from the Pediatrics Department to the Rehabilitation Department at the Sheba Medical Center in Be'er Sheva. "He hasn't seen the new department yet because he slept all morning after having cried all night," the grandfather said.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Movie Poster Is All Too Familiar: See the Photo!

Same family, same headache! Toula Portokalos' loved ones are evidently nosier than ever in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Nia Vardalos shared the first movie poster of the My Big Fat Greek Wedding sequel via Instagram on Tuesday, December 22.

"The #MyBigFatGreekWedding2 poster!" Vardalos, 53, captioned the sneak peek. "Guess who's back for the sequel. Hint...EVERYONE."

Star and writer Vardalos will reprise her role as Toula in the highly anticipated sequel to the 2002 smash. It will also once again feature her onscreen husband John Corbett (Ian Miller), Andrea Martin (Aunt Voula), Lainie Kazan (Maria Portokalos), Gia Carides (Cousin Nikki), Ian Gomez (Mike) Louis Mandylor (Nick Portokalos), Michael Constantine (Gus Portokalos), Joey Fatone (Angelo) and more.

Newcomer Elena Kampouris will also be joining the cast. The American Odyssey actress plays Toula and Ian's daughter. In the movie, the beloved couple become overbearing when Elena starts to apply to colleges.

Back in August, Vardalos explained why she waited so long to do a second film. "The reason I didn't want to do the sequel is because at the end of the first one, I had written that we were parents," she told the Today show at the time. "And even though I make stuff up, I couldn't write from a place of emotions that I didn't know because I wasn't a mom — and then I became a mom, so instantly, so suddenly." (Vardalos and her husband, Gomez, who plays Mike in the movies, married in 1993 and adopted a daughter named Illaria in 2008.)

Vardalos was excited when she finally came up with a story line — and so was Corbett. "The truth is, I didn't think it was over. After a decade of hearing, 'Hmm, I don't know, I don't have any ideas really,' I just sort of gave up. And so it was really a huge surprise when — I guess just about this time last year — [Nia] called and said, 'I got an idea. What do you think? Do you want to do it?'" the Sex and the City alum, 54, added. "And nobody on this team was happier than me."

Photographer rediscovers there’s no place like home

It's easy to crack a broad smile as you flip through the pages of photographer Meryl Meisler's new book, "Purgatory & Paradise: SASSY '70s Suburbia & The City." It's filled with pictures — all black and white — that Meisler took of her family, neighbors and friends in Long Island, New York four decades ago. They are juxtaposed with others she shot while covering the flashy disco scene, as well as the grittier aspects of what is generally considered to be anything but New York City's finest decade.

The photos are masterful and poignant, and amazingly, Meisler had never shown them to the public until she published this book.

Her portraits of friends and family in Massapequa and environs particularly lift the viewer's spirits. You get the distinct feeling that whatever else might have been going on in the world beyond suburbia, the people in Meisler's life liked to have fun.

A New York City public school art teacher, Meisler, 64, retired in 2010 after 31 years on the job. Always with a camera at hand, she photographed daily life at her school in Bushwick in Brooklyn, producing work that has been exhibited in New York and beyond.

    Self-portrait (Meryl Meisler Photography)

Last year, she published her first book of photography, which contained a collection of early 1980's photos she took in her first years of teaching in Bushwick, which at the time had not yet begun to recover from the widespread riots that took place there on the night of the infamous July 13, 1977 blackout. The inner city neighborhood was burned out and derelict, but the optimistic Meisler pointed her lens at the beauty she saw amidst the ruins.

That first book, "A Tale of Two Cities: Disco Era Bushwick" contained those photos, and they, too, were juxtaposed with photos Meisler took in New York's notorious discos. (A friend managed to get the young photographer into Studio 54, and from that point on she — motivated solely by her own curiosity and without any professional commissions — kept going back to it and other clubs to document the decadent night life.)

Meisler did not start taking photos in any serious way until she was in her early twenties, when she took a photography course at university. As a class assignment, she photographed her family while on a visit home to Massapequa. She continued to document her suburbia-dwelling Jewish family and friends, and it was that body of work that landed her a grant to document Jewish New York for the American Jewish Congress, as well as to research her family's roots.

"I didn't understand how strong the photographs were at the time," Meisler told The Times of Israel in a phone interview from the home in Woodstock, NY she shares with her wife Patricia Jean O'Brien (they also have a home in Manhattan).

In retrospect, Meisler appreciates how her young eye honed in on things worthy of fascination in and near her childhood home, especially the "Mystery Club" — a group of 11 couples, including her parents, who met on a Saturday night once every two months for an adventure unknown to all of them but the couple who planned it.

"This is your life, and you think it's ordinary, but it's really very special," she said.

Meisler shot black and white film with a medium-format Norita Graflex, which produced a 2.25 by 2.25 inch square negative. She developed her photographs in a darkroom she set up in a bathroom in her cousin's New York apartment.

It is not by chance that her semi-staged family photos are reminiscent of the work of Diane Arbus, the Jewish American photographer famous for documenting marginalized people, such as dwarves, nudists, circus performers and carnival freaks, including the "Jewish Giant" Eddie Carmel, whom she photographed towering over his parents in their Bronx living room.

"I saw a Diane Arbus show at MoMA when I was home on vacation from college, and it spoke to me. I understood that square, black and white image. It hit my brain and my heart," Meisler recalled.

She didn't know it at the time, but the Arbus-inspired photographs she took were a striking visual record of a certain place and time rich with eye-popping décor and quotidian drama generated by a cooperative cast of characters. These were the Jews of "Matzah Pizza," as the locals affectionately called their town.

Many of Meisler's family photos are warm, humorous and familiar, yet at the same time they are slightly bizarre. The subjects seem larger than life, even though they are caught going about their regular business, be it dancing at a wedding, eating a Rosh Hashanah dinner, relaxing on the couch, or having their hair done.

Ultimately, they are portrayals of life as the photographer's younger self saw it, the result of her casting her whimsy-seeking eye on those she loved.

South Korean man snaps ‘photo weddings’ to improve ties with Japan

Although Japan and South Korea marked the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations on Dec. 18, a symbolic "wedding," their gap on historical recognition has yet to be reconciled.

Currently, a South Korean man is doing his best to improve relations between the two nations by offering "photo weddings" for Japanese to experience his country's culture.

"If they experience daily life in South Korea through eating delicious food and taking wonderful photos of themselves, it will become a good way for them to know the country's culture," thought Kim Jong-soo, 38, who started the Ajarena photo studio in Seoul in 2012.

As Kim's business was expanding, he opened an overseas office in Osaka in November this year.

In October, a couple in their 20s from Aichi Prefecture visited Seoul for three days. Kim took photos of them in a park and other places in the city for their album and wedding ceremony. The couple also sampled Korean dishes, such as dakhanmari, in which a whole chicken is boiled.

"People are very friendly. I had a positive impression," said the groom, who was visiting South Korea for the first time.

Kim, a third-generation ethnic Korean resident in Japan, grew up in Chiba Prefecture. He also served as chairman of the Tokyo-based Korean Youth Association.

In 2010, he moved to South Korea wanting to "learn my mother country's language and culture deeply." Now, he resides in Seoul.

Kim became acquainted with Zhou Jie, 29, who had come to South Korea from Guangzhou, China, to study Korean, and they married. The two thought about starting a business that could improve relations among Japan, South Korea and China, and hit upon photo weddings.

In South Korea, many couples have professional photographers take photos of themselves before their wedding ceremonies and make commemorative albums. In Seoul, many photo studios are competing in that market.

Kim set up Ajarena to offer high-quality services, including photographing and lighting technologies, at low rates.

Kim was in charge of attracting customers from Japan while Zhou from China. The number of customers from China grew smoothly.

However, the number from Japan did not apparently due to the deteriorated bilateral relations. Some people asked in their inquiries about whether it was safe for Japanese to travel to South Korea.

Kim did not give up and kept trying to attract customers through the Internet and his personal network.

As a result of his efforts, the number of couples who took photos of themselves at Kim's studio is likely to double this year from about 90 of last year.

Kim opened an overseas office in Tokyo in January 2014, followed by the Osaka office.

"I want to serve as a bridge for valuable experiences (of my customers)," said Kim Hwa-ryeong, 29, who is in charge of the Osaka office.

Couples get creative at pre-wedding shoots with Bollywood inspired locales

If professional photographers are to be believed, then this wedding season is going to be more opulent and glamourous.

The traditional way of extending wedding invitations is also gradually finding itself replaced by an emerging trend of pre-wedding photography and video shoots that give wings to the fantasies of to-be-weds in the city. We explore this growing trend that's giving city wedding celebrations a new angle.

Bollywood song sequences inspire photographers and couples alike

To-be-weds seem to be borrowing inspiration from filmy poses, sequences and dresses for their shoots. The latest rage among couples is the song, Gerua from Dilwale. Kiran Tambole, a specialist in wedding photography, said, "I am working on how to create similar magic when I shoot at Lavasa or Saputara." Groom-to-be Akshay Kothari added, "I am looking forward to something like Gerua for my pre-wedding shoot." Dharmesh Soohinda who got married recently, chose the song Tere Naina from Chandi Cho wk to China for his pre-wedding video because the song addresses Naina, the name of his significant other. Youngsters Pooja and Kunal Kabra went a step ahead. "Being film buffs, we chose the song Tum Hi Ho from Aashiqui 2 and copied the film's poster by posing under a jacket," said Pooja. "Our clients often ask us to recreate something similar to what they see in films. Creating these images with still photography isn't tough, but shooting a video in a desired fashion is challenging as one needs to take into consideration the budget, public interference at locations and the couple's inhibitions on camera. Often couples are sure of what they want, which makes our work easier," said Sanjay Chube, a wedding photographer.

A host of locations to shoot at Mhaismal, Daulatabad Fort, privately owned resorts around the city and Bibi ka Maqbara aresome of the most preferred locations for pre-wedding shoots. In an attempt to try something unique in the city, couples are exploring newer l ocations with personal attachment. "I did my pre-wedding shoot at Beed Bypass. The area had long blades of dry grass which contributed the unique element to the shoot. We also took some pictures at Mhaismal because that's where my fiance had proposed to me," said Pranav Samaj, a photographer . Lavasa is another location that's becoming popular. Photographer Kiran Tambole said, "Lavasa is ideal for its scenic beauty, it is isolated, so people don't disurb during the shoot. Though renting the place can cost upto Rs 10,000 for eight hours.''

Transforming real life to reel lifeWhat better way for to-be-weds to immortalise their real love story than through pictures and videos and tell their stories, ones worth putting on screen? Cinematographer Rushikesh Hoshing has managed to recreate a relatable real life story for youngsters Ashwini and Nilesh Jain. "Their love story being similar to that in 2 States, I suggested the couple to do a dramatised shoot of their love story and they liked the idea," said Hoshing. Talking about the experience, Ashwini said, "It was so much fun reliving special moments of our love story." According to videographer Nitin Goje, couples' opting for documentary-style videos is a growing fad. "They can effectively use this medium to share in their own words their love story," Goje said, signing off.

A bride was able to share one special moment with her late daughter in a photo taken at her recent wedding.

Amanda Crowe Freebird's daughter, Azalee, died at age 6 after a battle with cancer. Amanda met her fiancee after Azalee's death.

The photographer Ashley Frantz, Amanda's friend, was asked to find a way to incorporate Azalee into the special day.

She was able to create a photo of Amanda with her hands holding Azalee's face that she shared with Fox 8.

"It was such an honor to be able to do this for her and I'm so thankful God has given me a talent that I can use to make broken hearts just a tad less broken," Ashley said in a Facebook post.

Not wanting to look 'forward', the groom Danny didn't ask for Folake's number, but waited till the next day to send her a message on Facebook.

That message was the right call, as sparks flew through the screen, and the couple hasn't looked back since. A surprise proposal at The Ritz London sealed their love, and the couple got married this September in Lagos.

Here's their beautiful wedding planned by 2706 Events!

I noticed Danny as he walked past me to have his seat, he had a big smile on his face as he said, "hello". After dinner, the party continued at Steam Bar in London where we chatted briefly.

Danny: I didn't want to ask her for her number during the evening as I didn't want to be rude.

Folake: So he sent me a message on Facebook the following day. It was clear from then on we had a strong connection, we went on our first date the following weekend and the rest is history!Folake Ajose & Danny Oshungboye_2706 Events_BellaNaija Weddings 2015_Sott u Photography_IMG-20151124-WA0003The ProposalDanny proposed on a special night out at The Ritz London. He said he was taking me out to celebrate my birthday and my recent job promotion and that we were going to have steak. He was all suited and booted and his shirt was as white and crisp as snow. He nagged me for not wearing a dress lol… so I thought to myself "007" action. Folake Ajose & Danny Oshungboye_2706 Events_BellaNaija Weddings 2015_Sottu Photography_IMG-20151124-WA0002After a lovely dinner and a salsa performance, I was presented with a dish by the chef, eager to see what the dessert was I urged the chef to unveil the dish. He paused for a moment, looking towards Danny and there was a beautiful, sparkling diamond ring from De Beers….It sat on a well decorated plate with a bed of roses… Danny was now on his knees, and popped the question. Other diners in the room cheered as I said "YES"!Folake Ajose & Danny Oshungboye_2706 Events_BellaNaija Weddings 2015_Sottu Photography_IMG-20151124-WA0001Advice from the Bride

My advice for other couples going through this process is centered on three things: Pray, Plan, and enjoy the process. Ensure you attend a pre-marital class together and you would have set a good foundation for a happy life together.

The bride wished to share some of the highlights of her wedding, look out for her quotes!

BellaNaija Weddings wishes Folake and Danny a blessed marriage.
